As it happens I have done quite a lot of research over that last year or so. And I still think that to say it evolves is to imply that it is improving or getting better. This is not the strict definition of the word evolve. But this is what the word implys.
When the word evolve is used to describe humans it implys that we have improved. Personally I don't see this as the case otherwise we would be naturally eliminating diseases not dying from them with no improvement other than the supposed help from scientific research.
All I am saying is that language changes. Some would even say that it is deteriorating. All a matter of opinion really.
There is no doubt that language is different now from the times of Shakespare. But in whose opinion is it better or worse? I would say it is just different. Humans are intellilgent beings, of course language is going to change and develop

Couple of questions for the Christians here - CO's talk mentioned some things that I want to understand
by Doubting Bro inthis is a question for all the christians on the board.
i sat through the first co talk last night which was basically a plea to not give up preaching.
one of his main points was that no one else had "the truth" and every other person that claims to be christian is in error.

Why stop there? Just tell them you can see how much money the watchtower makes and want to start your own religion to be just like them. I reakon they would be impressed if you already had some pamphlets printed and handed them out after the meetings.

metatron I agree, when I was studying I remember questioning the two ladies about their faith and if it ever dwindled or if they ever questioned if God was real. Because I was feeling like that at the time. I received heaps of pity and support and encouragement.
A few months later I was questioning the Governing body and their role and past decisions made by them. You could have heard a pin drop. Everyone got defensive and the battle began.
Question God - you poor deluded thing, we understand, but we never personally question that.
Question the Governing body - evil has come into your life, have you been reading apostate literature? Bring in reinforcements, other elders in the community and the circuit overseer...

God gave humans the ability to speak and communicate using verbal and written language. Humans are unique in the way we communicate. This is why we are able to learn languages from a young age.
I would say that most evolutionists would be struggling to pin point at what stage language began or when it started to evolve into many different languages. Without guessing, that is.
I would like to see some evidence of the claim that The tower of bable occured 1000BC. Thats a big claim.
